Jamari Marquardt- A Legend in Pitching

Feb 3rd 2026 By Tuscaloosa Crimson Tide

There is no doubt in anyone’s minds that pitching is a quintessential part of any team lineup. Every team has their ace, their star- their pitcher who just won’t seem to give up any hits. You may think of the greats like Randy Johnson, the Marlins’ Josh Beckett, or Pedro Martinez. There is without a doubt a pitcher such as this on franchiseball, and that is without a doubt the legendary Jamari Marquardt.

Marquardt started his career in season 140 before being acquired by Saint John’s Deadly Sins’ organization, where he posted incredible numbers. During his time with the Sins, he had 5 seasons with 10+ wins- out of 9 seasons with Saint John’s. In season 151, he joined the storied Cincinnati Reds, where he continued his dominance.

Marquardt is unique in that he is a quad 90 pitcher. All of his stats- control, movement, velocity, and stamina- are all 90 or higher. Few players like this exist on Franchiseball, and as could be expected, this caught the attention of Tuscaloosa Crimson Tide manager Summer’s Calamity. She began scouting him in season 146, when he was 29, and was unable to come to a deal. However, an offseason trade made in season 154 saw the Tide send workhouse Matias Soto to Cincinnati to bring Marquardt his long awaited debut in Tuscaloosa. Now 37, it is easy to say he will not sling the ball with the same finesse as he once did, but the Crimson Tide do not believe this will be the case. With an all time career record of 107-13 and an impressive 3.04 career ERA, Marquardt looks to build upon this storied legacy with Tuscaloosa. The ace’s contract runs through season 160, guaranteeing he will retire with Tuscaloosa.

“This is simply just the beginning of what girl power has done on franchiseball. Marquardt, he’s a great pitcher, we believe in him, we’ve known what he’s capable of, and we are thrilled for him to make waves here in T Town” said manager Summer’s Calamity.
