Funny, I was reading the social activity feed, saw this comment and thought "that actually could apply to my team too; we've got that problem." Then I clicked on it and saw it *was* directed at my team! Lol Yeah, not nearly enough RBIs.

The La Mesa Monarchs have just set a new franchise record for victories in a single season with win number 49, shutting out the San Antonio Storm Chasers 5-0. It breaks the mark of 48 set in Season 136 when the Monarchs won the Alpha Ruby East.
With Caracas' win over Storm Chasers, the Monarchs have not yet secured home field advantage throughout the Alpha Ruby League Playoffs. Their magic number for that is 1.
And despite giving up those 5 runs, Jerold Escobar followed it with 6 shutout innings to notch his 10th win.
The Monarchs are in a pile at the mound at Monarch Park celebrating just clinching the Alpha Ruby North championship! They formed a mob all around Frankie Harding as he picked up his 13th save to close out a 6-5 come-from-behind victory!
We had 9-1, 2.01 ERA Jerold Escobar on the mound, at home, against a dead team, to pitch us to the division title, and what does he do? Gives up 5 runs in the first 2 innings. . .
Yeah, hopefully. It would be a collapse of New York Metsian proportions if I don't. Lol
